Methane Utilization at Active Mining Sites At an active coal mining site in Ukraine, Elle implemented a cutting-edge methane capture system as part of the mine’s sustainability initiative. This technology efficiently captured methane released during the coal extraction process and repurposed it to fuel on-site equipment. As a result, the project not only reduced CO2 emissions by an impressive 840,000 tons but also generated over 60 MW of clean energy throughout the measurement period. This dual benefit of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and generating renewable energy underscores the project's success in advancing both environmental and operational efficiency
